FleetiQ Insights
Why scalable vessel reporting starts with one trusted source of operational data
A vessel generates a continuous flow of operational information. The challenge is ensuring that information is captured accurately at source and can then serve every downstream requirement without repeated entry, reconciliation or manual correction.
A single noon report may contain information required by operators, technical managers, charterers, emissions teams, verifiers and multiple shore-side systems. When each process works from a separate version of that data, duplication increases and so does the opportunity for inconsistency.
FleetiQ is a standalone, web-based noon reporting platform that enables vessels to capture voyage data once, validate it against configured requirements and distribute the relevant information to connected stakeholders and systems.
One report. Multiple downstream uses.
Its comprehensive reporting model allows the vessel to provide the required information in one place. Once validated, that data can flow into Vessel Management Systems (VMS), Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms and client systems without manual re-entry.
This changes the role of the noon report. It is no longer simply a submission from the vessel. It becomes a reusable source of operational data.
The platform is browser-based, requires no onboard installation and is designed to operate online or offline, including on connections as low as 256 kbps.
Digitising a paper form does not, by itself, improve the quality of the information being collected. If validation is generic, errors can still pass through the process. If issues are identified only after submission, correction becomes another cycle of emails, clarification and manual intervention.
For vessel reporting, data quality needs to be addressed before the information moves downstream.
FleetiQ supports more than 40 vessel-specific validations and 30+ warnings, checking reported information against configured rules, previous voyage reports and live Automatic Identification System (AIS) and weather data. Validation rules can also be configured to individual client requirements.
Validation is built into the reporting workflow.
The distinction is important. FleetiQ is not simply checking whether a form has been completed. It can assess whether the information is consistent with the vessel, the voyage and the reporting requirements configured for that customer.
That flexibility becomes increasingly relevant as fleets and reporting requirements become more diverse. Different vessels may require different rules. Customers may operate different workflows. Fuel and emissions reporting may require additional information, while verification processes may require standardised outputs.
FleetiQ addresses these differences through configurable forms and workflows rather than requiring every fleet to follow an identical reporting model. Once a report is ready, validated data can be delivered to connected systems in under 30 minutes.
Once submitted, validated reports are on their way to connected systems.
A reporting platform may work effectively for one fleet and still become difficult to scale. The challenge emerges when different customers require different forms, rules, workflows and integrations, while the underlying platform must remain secure, controlled and manageable.
FleetiQ has evolved into a secure, multi-tenant SaaS platform designed for this environment.
Each customer’s data is isolated, while individual fleets can have their own forms, configurations and workflows. This allows customer-specific requirements to be supported without creating a separate product for every deployment.
Each customer’s data stays isolated
One platform. Configurable workflows. Isolated customer data.
The model has been shaped through enterprise deployments, including a white-labelled deployment for a global technology and engineering company serving one of its customers. As requirements expanded, the platform needed to support greater diversity across customers without compromising data separation or operational control.
The result is a SaaS architecture in which configurations can be created for individual customer requirements and replicated across additional deployments, while the underlying data remains isolated.
This is a key distinction in scaling vessel reporting. Scalability is not only the ability to process more vessels or more reports. It is the ability to support more customers, workflows, data requirements and integrations without introducing additional complexity at the vessel.
The same architecture also allows FleetiQ to extend beyond the traditional noon-reporting use case.
The platform supports multi-fuel and emissions reporting, verifier-integrated workflows, and integrations with VMS, PMS, ERP and client systems. Its architecture is also sensor-ready, creating a path to incorporate higher-frequency vessel data over time.
This creates a broader opportunity for vessel data. Rather than introducing a separate reporting mechanism each time another requirement emerges, organisations can build on a common reporting foundation.
A common data foundation connecting vessel reporting with downstream systems.
FleetiQ is already operating at scale, with reporting across 1,400 vessels, more than one million forms processed and more than three years of voyage history on the platform. The platform is supported 24×7, with a 4–6 hour production service-level agreement (SLA).
These numbers matter because the value of a reporting platform is ultimately determined by how consistently it performs across vessels, voyages and workflows.
As vessel data continues to grow in volume and variety, the priority is not to increase the reporting burden on crews. It is to create a stronger connection between the information generated on board and the systems, stakeholders and decisions that depend on it.
That is the role FleetiQ is designed to play: a lightweight, scalable reporting foundation that captures data once, applies the right controls at source and makes trusted information available across the wider maritime operating environment.
One platform. One trusted source. Multiple downstream uses.
